Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma and Indian captain Virat Kohli have become parents. On his Instagram account, Virat Kohli announced that he and his wife are finally the parents of a baby girl. "We want to share with our loved ones the good news that we have become parents to our daughter this afternoon," she said, adding that Anushka and her daughter are both healthy and that we are in this new phase of our lives. "We are delighted to be launching this chapter. We hope you will respect our privacy at this time."

It may be recalled that Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma were married in Italy in December 2017, their wedding ceremonies were attended only by family members and close friends.

Anushka and Virat had their engagement and henna ceremonies in Italy before their wedding, after which they returned to India and held wedding receptions in Delhi and Mumbai.
